Zoya Beach Summer 2012 Collection

I'm so excited about today's post!!  I have six beautiful cremes to share with you from Zoya's Beach Collection!!    I fell in love with these colors when I first received the Press Release Email from Zoya!  I absolutely love cremes and I love Zoyas, and when you add the two together, you'll be in polish-euphoria!! :)  Let's take a look at these new beauties..

Zoya Beach Summer 2012 Collection:
Tracie- indirect light

Tracie- direct sunlight
Zoya describes Tracie as: "A faded yellow toned pistachio green with delicate silvery shimmer for a frosted pearl finish."  I know pistachio greens are really popular right now and I like Tracie, but I don't "love" her.  I wish she was a true creme without the shimmer and frost.  Don't get me wrong, formula-wise Tracie is perfect (full opacity with two coats), and if you love the added shimmer, you'll love Tracie.

Wednesday- indirect light

Wednesday- direct sunlight
Zoya describes Wednesday as: "Faded dirty medium turquoise with green undertone and an opaque cream finish."  Hello Wednesday!!!!!!!!!  I love this one!!  It's simple, yet unique.  Wednesday will go on my toes when I give myself a pedicure later this weekend.  Zoya lists Wednesday as having a "warm" tone, but you can wear her if you're a "cool-toned" person, as I am.  Wednesday is such a fun summery color!!  Again, perfect formula with full opacity reached with two coats.

Arizona-indirect light

Arizona- direct sunlight
Zoya describes Arizona as: "Softened bright citrus orange with a muted creme finish."  Gosh, every time I add a color, I want to say "this is my favorite."  I love Arizona and I usually am not a fan of oranges.  Arizona is bright, yet soft.  Usually when I wear an orange, it's as an accent with nail art, but I will definitely wear Arizona alone this summer.. another fun toe color!!  I did apply three coats of Arizona, as she was the sheerest of the bunch, but the formula was still great!

Shelby- indirect light

Shelby- direct sunlight
Zoya describes Shelby as: "Soft but colorful cherry blossom pink with an opaque creme finish."  I like how Shelby looks way different in different light.  She's more of a classic pink in direct sun, and more of a purple-pink inside.  Shelby is such a girly color that will easily become one of my "go-to pinks."  Yep, you guessed it, full opacity is reached in two coats. :)

Lara- indirect light

Lara- direct sunlight
Zoya describes Lara as: "Medium magenta-rose pink with subtle yellow undertone and a soft creme finish."  Lara is my favorite out of the three pinks in the beach collection.  She's just the right shade for me.  I love my fuchsias (I never spell that correctly) and Lara is easily one of my new favorites!! :)

Reagan- indirect light

Reagan- direct sunlight
Zoya describes Reagan as: "a deep, cool fuchsia pink with subtle blue undertone and an opaque creme finish."  Reagan is a beauty too, I already wore this one for a couple days and received so many compliments on her.  Also, I had no chips after two days, and that's great for me because I'm hard on my hands and nails.  The formula with Reagan was amazing once again... Reagan has the most pigment out of all the above polishes and you could probably wear this one with just one coat.. but I always apply two just out of habit.

Overall, these six colors are absolutely amazing (even Tracie).  If you follow my blog, you know I love to water marble and these new cremes are perfect for marbles!!  Zoya's formula is the best, hands down!  I'm really looking forward to mixing and matching these beauties with future manicures.. I already have a zillion ideas in my head!!

Girly Girl Challenge Day 8- Girls just wanna have fun!

Today is the final day for the Girly Girl Nail Art Challenge.  I just want to thank Lindsey at Neverland Nail Blog for creating such a fun challenge!!  I had such a great time coming up with ideas for my manis for each challenge..
Today's challenge is "Girls just wanna have fun-- let your mani show just how fun-loving you are!"  I chose an Easter-themed mani seeing Easter is next Sunday and Easter colors and designs are fun!!  I based my Easter Mani after this Youtube tutorial, but decided to do a different design on each nail..

My fun Easter mani:

Awww.. how cute. :)  This was my first time using my Shany nail brushes and it's a little sloppy, but not too bad.  I shouldn't have used the hot pink on the index finger as it really doesn't mesh with the Easter pastels.  I love the chick.. it's so cute and was really easy! :)

Weekly Water Marble 3/29/12

My pal Laurie showed me this rainbow water marble last week and I just had to try it..  By the way, check out Laurie's awesome butterfly marble!  It's so pretty!!

Rainbow Water Marble:

For this marble, I started with two coats of OPI Alpine Snow on each finger.  After that dried I sponged on Spoiled Hit The Brakes, OPI A Roll in the Hague, OPI Need Sunglasses?, OPI Don't Mess With OPI, OPI Fly, and OPI Funky Dunkey to make the rainbow pattern.  After that completely dried, I marbled with China Glaze Liquid Leather and OPI Pearl of Wisdom.  :)

I'll be back next Thursday with an Easter-inspired marble... I think :)

Girly Girl Challenge Day 7- Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice

Today is Day 7 of the Girly Girl Nail Art Challenge..  sugar, spice and everything nice..show off your sweet or spicy inspired nails.  I opted with "spicy", (or should I say fiery in this case).  Most of my posts lean toward the "girly" or sweet side anyway, so a "spicy" mani will be something different for me.  This mani is supposed to resemble "fire", but it really doesn't look like fire to me..

I started this mani with two coats of OPI Need Sunglasses?.  After that was completely dry, I used a dry fan brush and applied the black (I think it was Ebony Hates Chris), let that dry then brushed on OPI A Roll in the Hague, then Zoya Carmen.  Meh.. it kinda resembles fire.  I shouldn't have dry brushed all the colors all the way to the end of my nail, but the effect turned out pretty neat.  Everyone was attempting fire nails when I did this for Hunger Games, so I gave it a go, too :)

Purple Dot Ombre Mani

****Today is the last day to enter my 700 Follower Giveaway!!!****

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!  I saw this super cute mani by Lindsey at Neverland Nail Blog yesterday and thought it was so cute, I had to re-create it..

Purple Dot Ombre:

It's cute.  It's easy. And, I love it!! :)
For this mani I painted each nail with two coats of China Glaze Sweet Hook, waited for that to completely dry, then applied dots with OPI Do You Lilac It?, Zoya Mira, and Illamasqua Baptiste.

Sonoma County Gazette by Sonoma Nail Art

I have yet another Indie Polish to share with you guy today.  This one is pretty special because I won the opportunity to buy it before it is released in a Nail Polish Group I belong to on facebook.

This color is called Sonoma County Gazette by Michelle at Sonoma Nail Art.  From my understanding, Michelle will be opening her Etsy Shop in May.  Put this shop in your favorites now because this woman creates amazing polishes!!!!

Here is Sonoma County Gazette over Zoya Dove:

Isn't this such a gorgeous glitter?? Sonoma County Gazette has small black and white glitter..medium red, white, and black hex glitter.. white and black bar glitter.. and large white hex glitter in a clear base!!  Pictured above its one coat of SCG over Zoya Dove.  SCG is a breeze to apply, the glitter seems to just "go in it's place."  I really love SCG and can't wait for Michelle to open her Etsy Shop in May so I can get my hands on more of her beauties!!!

** Don't forget to enter my 700 Follower Giveaway!!**

Have a great week!!!
